Aureol Fresco Flood
A smooth, well controlled, even wash of light from a wide range of either low voltage or mains voltage light sources to provide the desired light level with full colour rendering.
The new Aureol Fresco Flood range complements our very popular 12V Aureol Beam Spot and Beam Shaper range for specialised display and commercial lighting applications.
Designed to provide a visually even wash of light for either individual subject flood lighting or continuous wall washes.
The smooth even beam of the Aureol Fresco Flood range used in combination with the high lighting capability of the Aureol Beam Spot and the precise projection of the Beam Shaper ensure a complete palette of tools for museum, gallery, retail and residential lighting applications.
The Aureol Fresco Flood features a unique custom designed asymmetric reflector that collects much of the light output and redirects it to produce a visually even wash of light from a ceiling mount position. The precision design of the reflector and die cast housing ensure no distracting glare.
A choice of either mains voltage linear halogen (60, 75, 100, 150W) or 12v capsule lamps (2 x 20W, 2 x 50W) provides a wide range of light levels at full colour rendering. Positioned 1200mm from a 3m high wall and spaced 1500mm apart the Aureol Fresco Flood provides a visually even wash of light down to 700mm approx. from the floor i.e. in the critical viewing area.
Engineered from pressure die castings and aluminium extrusions the timeless design of the Aureol Fresco Flood will ensure it fits empathically into most environments. Available in black, silver grey and white matching the rest of the Aureol range.
International mounting options are track adapter (European three circuit universal adapter) and ceiling base mount.
North American mounting options are track adapter (factory fitting of approved track adapters supplied by the customer - including Global Nokia, Lightolier) and ceiling base mount.
Tilt and pan adjustments are locked off in position with a recessed allen key.
Accessories available are:
Colour filter holder - suitable for plastic and glass filters.
The colour filter size = 100mm x 90mm.
If you choose to use glass then the glass pieces (dichroic or coloured) should be made in 3 strips for the Fresco to avoid the glass heating up unevenly and shattering. These strips can be easily mounted in the Aureol Fresco frame by reversing the
colour filter holder frame. Selecon recommend F J Gray to supply glass filters - http://www.fjgray.thomasregister.com/
Four flap barndoor includes filter holder - colours are as per luminaire and white or silver/ grey exterior with black interior flaps.
NOTE on Lamp Selection
The Aureol Fresco Flood is available in two versions viz:
Mains Voltage
100 - 250V
Using the extensive range of 79mm linear halogen lamps available in wattages from 50W (120V), 60W, 75W, 100W and 150W. Maximum wattage 150W.
This range allows the designer to specify the required light level without relying on dimming and the consequential loss of colour rendering.
Recommended lamps include those from Philips, GE, Osram and Ushio. Use of lamps other than from these manufacturers may void our warranty.
Mains voltage lamps are NOT supplied with the luminaire.
Low Voltage
Two 12V 50W (100W total) or two 20W (40W total) provide for best colour rendering.
Grid filament lamps provide for the most even beam. Frosted versions are available for softer beam effect.
Recommended lamps include those from Philips (13079 - 50W), GE (34703 - 50W, 13756 20W Frosted), Osram (64440S - 50W; 64427S - 20W).
Use of lamps other than from these manufacturers may void our warranty.
An electronic power supply with on board dimmer is fitted as standard.
Lamps are supplied with all Aureol L.V. Fresco Floods - 20W or 50W as required.
